The Black Post
Black Rope Stanchion Rental in Ottawa
Black posts hung with 5 ft velvet rope — the one that holds a line without appearing in the photograph, so the branding or the set stays the thing people are looking at.

Why choose the black post
Stepping back is the whole point of this post. Against a dark floor or a dressed set it more or less vanishes, handing the job of carrying the look to the rope and to whatever is branded behind it. Choose it when you want the crowd control to go unnoticed and the branding to do the opposite.
Which is why it ends up as the standard on activations, film and television, conference floors and festival sites — places where a lane has to be there without turning up in shot. The matte surface also takes fingerprints and handling marks in its stride, something a polished column never does over a multi-day build.
All nine gold-end ropes work on it, exactly as they do on the gold post, so the colour call belongs to the rope rather than being forced by the post. And under mixed lighting it photographs cleanly — no hotspots bouncing back at the lens.
